Biography

Kari Visscher (b. 1982) enjoyed both the arts and sciences throughout her life completing a Master's degree in Biomedical Communications and a Medical degree. Drawn to the visual subspecialties of medicine, Kari became a Radiologist and is currently an Adjunct professor at McMaster University (Ontario, Canada). Her research has been presented at international medical conferences and published in peer reviewed medical journals. She is an elected member of the Ontario Society of Artists which is the oldest existing professional art society in Canada. Her artwork has been internationally recognized in prestigious art competitions including the ARC Salon, Figurativas, ModPortrait and the Kingston Prize, and in esteemed publications including Fine Art Connoisseur, American Art Collector and The Guide Artists.
